BIM event: Digital construction & BIM in Greece

The "Digital construction & BIM in Greece" is a one day BIM event in Greece, organized by the Technical Chamber of Greece, (TEE) on February 19, 2020 in Athens.

Duration: 09:30 - 18:00


The event is supported by the "National Actions" of EU BIM Task Group members. The event aims to present the context of BIM process in Europe, the opportunities that arise of BIM adoption and the digital transformation of the construction sector. European practices and experience, government policies, technical standards are some of the topics to be discussed.


A part of the event is dedicated to identifying the needs and difficulties of BIM implementation in Greece. The goal is to analyze and overcome the barriers towards BIM implementation and enhance the digital future of the Greek construction sector. The Event includes 3 parts: - “BIM in Europe and the digital future of construction”, “BIM implementation and technology” and “BIM in Greece”.


At the end of the event, a panel discussion is organized with the topic: “Unlocking the built environment for the future of Greece”.The European Commission's Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs (DG Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs) will be also represented at the event.


Breakwithanarchitect was invited to theevent as a keynote speaker to deliver the presentation “Digital Construction & BIM – BIM Process and Technology”.
